Radio 33 is happy to announce the arrival of . This interface allows you numerical communications for a minimal investment ! The X-modes II can be used as a relay with your TX for ECHOLINK or E-QSO, but also with SKYPE, PICOPHONE or MSN. It profits from the lastest advanced technology in circuits, since it replaces all the interfaces suggested in the trade and integrates a digital sound system, therefore does not require a computer sound card . One can use all models of digital transmissions available, such as PACKET, PACTOR, APRS, AMTOR, RTTY, SSTV, WEFAX and ACARS, as well as the more recent models like the PSK31, MT63, Hellschriber and many more ! There is plenty of programs  which can be found on the Internet ! The majority are "freeware" or "shareware".
X-modes II is delivered ready for use. It is not a "kit" ! The components are of higher quality and each unit undergoes the same rigorous standards of inspection and quality control.  The interface has a certain number of single devices which eliminate the problems to connect your radio to the computer, because it functions in very low power. It also has some advanced devices not available on other products, such as connection for USB and the integrated sound card.

It is not necessary to reprogram the interface if you change equipment. X-modes II is truly universal, it functions without programming on all equipment. And if you have several transmitters, it will be operational in one moment, just by connecting the suitable cable. (Price of optional cable :20€)

·Installation   - X-modes II is automatically recognized by Windows XP and Windows 98SE (which, can require CD for installation ). The sound card may be used for other applications.
·Audio levels   - X-modes II provides the audio levels optimum to the computer and the radio without requiring additional adjustment. This simplifies your installation considerably. All the adjustments can be made by following the signals on the sound control panel of the PC and the radio.
·
No port series necessary
  - X-modes II has a PTT circuit which entirely eliminates the need for being connected to a Rs-232. port. This circuit automatically detects the transmissions carried out starting from the software and activates the PTT circuit of the radio. On the front face, a  time delay control switch is designed to optimize release according to the various numerical modes. The elimination of connection to the port series also appreciably reduces  the noise between the computer and the radio.
·
External loudspeaker   -
If you like to listen to the sound of your radio, then you will appreciate the audio plug on the back face. This jack "BF-RX" designed to send the reception of the station to the interface with some models of transceivers, will accept a loudspeaker for listening even when the interface is not in use..
·
Power
  - X-modes II does not require external power, the USB powers it. This allows a very simple installation and use on a portable PC, in the motor home for example. No need for a sound card, it is integrated in the interface.
·
Switches and indicators of panel -
The switch "MICRO/DATA" is designed to choose which to use, the interface or the transmitter with its microphone, without being obliged to disconnect the microphone. A LED indicates PTT commutation. A reverser  switch "DATA/VOIX" makes it possible to change the time according to the mode used.
